If you are comparing Fanka RecoverEZ Regular Fit and RecoverEZ Curvy Fit, you may be wondering: Is Curvy Fit simply a larger version of Regular Fit?

The answer is no. Curvy Fit was developed around plus-size body proportions, with adjusted sizing and length, a higher waistband, softer stretch fabric, and a seam-free inner-thigh area.

This guide compares six key differences—sizing, construction, waistband, fabric, pockets, and shaping—to help you choose the RecoverEZ leggings that feel right for your body and your everyday routine.

Why We Created RecoverEZ Curvy Fit

When we started working on Curvy Fit, we listened closely to customers who wear larger sizes and reviewed the fit concerns that appeared repeatedly in product feedback.

One thing became clear: a better fit cannot be created by simply making a standard pattern bigger. More room alone does not always solve waistband rolling, inner-thigh friction, uneven proportions, or a fit that feels right in one area but off in another.

So we reworked the leggings around real body proportions and everyday wearing needs, refining six details that affect how compression leggings fit, move, and feel.

Curvy Fit vs. Regular Fit: Key Differences

Both RecoverEZ fits offer the same 18–23 mmHg graduated compression and full-leg support. What changes is how each version is proportioned, constructed, and designed to feel on the body.

Quick Comparison

Design Detail Regular Fit Curvy Fit
Sizing S–4XL, standard proportions 1X–4X, designed around plus-size proportions
Inner Thigh Traditional vertical inner-thigh seam No vertical inner-thigh seam to help reduce friction
Waistband High rise that sits above the belly button Longer, higher rise for more tummy coverage and less rolling
Fabric Feel Firmer and more structured Softer, stretchier, and more friction-resistant
Pockets Two pockets on the compression-line side One pocket on each wearable side
Shaping Visible glute compression lines Curved seams for a cleaner contour

1. A Size Range Designed for Different Proportions

Regular Fit is currently offered in sizes S–4XL, while Curvy Fit continues the range in sizes 1X–4X.

Curvy Fit is not simply Regular Fit made bigger. Its proportions and leg length were adjusted for plus-size bodies to create a more balanced fit through the waist, hips, glutes, and thighs.

2. No Inner-Thigh Seam for Less Friction

Regular Fit uses a traditional vertical seam along the inner thigh. Curvy Fit removes that seam and moves the construction lower around the thigh, helping reduce rubbing, discomfort, and pilling in this high-friction area.

The result is a smoother feel during walking and long periods of wear.

3. A Higher Waistband for More Coverage

Regular Fit has a high-rise waistband that sits above the belly button. Curvy Fit uses a longer waistband that sits higher over the stomach, offering more tummy coverage and helping reduce rolling during sitting, bending, and movement.

Regular Fit feels more structured, while Curvy Fit offers a higher, more secure fit around the waist.

4. Friction-Resistant Fabric for Greater Comfort

Curvy Fit uses a softer, stretchier fabric designed to better resist rubbing and pilling in high-friction areas, especially around the inner thighs. The fabric passed a 50,000-cycle abrasion test and offers more flexibility across different waist, hip, glute, and thigh proportions.

Regular Fit provides a firmer, more structured compression feel.

5. A Pocket on Either Wearable Side

Both RecoverEZ fits are reversible, but their pocket layouts are different. Regular Fit has two pockets on the side with the compression lines. Curvy Fit places one pocket on each wearable side, so you have access to a pocket whichever way you wear the leggings.

6. Curved Seams for a Cleaner Contour

Regular Fit uses visible compression lines around the glutes for a more defined, technical look. Curvy Fit removes the visible glute compression lines and uses curved seams that follow the natural shape of the body, creating a cleaner and more subtle contour.

Both designs support shaping, but they create different visual finishes.

Which Fit Is Right for You?

Use your measurements first, then consider the wearing experience you prefer. The right fit should feel supportive and comfortable—not simply as tight as possible.

RecoverEZ Regular Fit

Choose it if: Your waist measures approximately 22.5–45.5 inches and your hips approximately 32.5–51 inches.
Best for: A firmer, more structured compression feel.

RecoverEZ Curvy Fit

Choose it if: Your waist measures approximately 43.5–57 inches and your hips approximately 51–65 inches.
Best for: More tummy coverage, softer stretch, and greater comfort around high-friction inner-thigh areas.
Tip: If you are between Regular Fit 4XL and Curvy Fit 1X, do not rely on the size label alone. Measure your waist and hips, compare both size charts, and use your hip measurement as the primary guide.

RecoverEZ Fit FAQ

Q1: Is Curvy Fit just a larger version of Regular Fit?
No. Curvy Fit uses different proportions, a longer and higher waistband, a seam-free inner-thigh construction, softer stretch fabric, and a different pocket and shaping layout.

Q2: Do both fits offer the same compression level?
Yes. Both RecoverEZ Regular Fit and Curvy Fit use 18–23 mmHg graduated compression. The difference is in fit, fabric feel, and construction—not the stated compression range.

Q3: What should I do if I am between Regular Fit 4XL and Curvy Fit 1X?
Measure your waist and hips and check both product size charts. Because the proportions are different, your hip measurement is usually the best starting point; also consider whether you prefer a firmer structure or more stretch and coverage.

Q4: Are both RecoverEZ fits reversible?
Yes. Both are reversible. Regular Fit places both pockets on the compression-line side, while Curvy Fit places one pocket on each wearable side.

Q5: Which fit is better for inner-thigh rubbing?
Curvy Fit is specifically constructed without a vertical inner-thigh seam and uses softer, more friction-resistant fabric, making it the more targeted option when rubbing and pilling in that area are recurring concerns.

A Message from Fanka

At FANKA, we believe a better fit takes more than simply making a standard pattern bigger. It starts with listening closely, understanding where fit problems happen, and rethinking the details that shape everyday comfort.

Curvy Fit was shaped by your feedback, fit concerns, and real wearing experiences. From the waistband and fabric to the seams and pockets, every design choice reflects what we heard from you.

You are not just wearing the final product. You are part of the journey that helped create it.

Regular Fit and Curvy Fit offer the same 18–23 mmHg graduated compression and full-leg support, but they are designed to fit and feel differently. Our goal is to help you choose the one that feels most supportive, comfortable, and right for your body.
