My favorite method of training for busy women is circuit training. Combine 4 to 5 exercises into one round or
set. Perform each exercise for 10 to 15 repetitions per exercise without stopping or resting. Rest 60 seconds
and repeat for 3 to 5 rounds or sets.
This method is not only time-efficient, but it also raises the heart rate, leading to a greater caloric burn
and metabolic effect which helps with weight management.
Circuit training can also increase strength, endurance, and cardiovascular health. It improves the ability for
muscles to work for longer periods. The higher intensity can improve blood circulation and strengthen the
heart muscle.
For this method, you can focus on the upper or lower body, or you can combine both.
Here is an example of a circuit workout:
Rest for 60 seconds and repeat for 3 to 5 sets or rounds
3. Hammer Curl (for biceps)
10-15 reps
4. Walking Lunge (with/without weight)
for 20-30 steps (10-15 steps per leg)
1. Stationary Lunge
10-15 reps per leg
2. Overhead Shoulder Press
10-15 reps
3. Hammer Curl (for biceps)
10-15 reps
4. Walking Lunge (with/without weight)
for 20-30 steps (10-15 steps per leg)
